Just a fancy schmancy word some people use to try to sound more intelligent, but instead is really just stupidifying the comment sections.

agreed on all except the witcher, which i find to be a great adaptation of the books.

The world feels so small in the show. The books, from my recollection spent a significant amount of time travelling place to place which developed out side characters significantly better than the show does, like Yappen for instance.

The show makes it feel like you can just portal everywhere and there's no developed structure to the world map. They almost need an into like GoT. GoT nailed world building just off the intro, you could feel the distance between landmasses and then the show made it feel like you were travelling across them. Once they got to the last seasons everyone had issues with it felt like they were just teleporting around to speed things up and it made the world feel like shit.

That's where I am at with The Wither. The world / kingdoms themselves don't feel at all developed and it makes it worse by use of teleporting around skipping a lot of dialogue from the books that took place during the adventure of to and from.

The best not fuck up Regis.

while i understand your point i think the reality is you get a lot less world building in the books with the story so far in the show, it's not really IMO until the war for control of Cirie starts that you really get a good view of the lands from a macro view via the council that's constantly meeting and plotting. before that its mostly world building via monster of the week adventures of Geralt. which were present in S1 and S2, only disjointed via the timeline shuffle. we also have a lot of world building we didnt get in the books via expansion of the academy through Yennefer's backstory.

most of the "it lacks world building" criticism ive heard comes from video game players, as a large game like that is bound to feel bigger than the show's set.

I haven't played the game and it could be i'm just merging books in my head since its been years and I cant recall where one book stops and another begins. Dispite that I could be recalling the books incorrectly, the show still hasen't developed out the world to where i'd like to see it.

Also I cant see Garalt having a sex affair with Fringilla.

I had Fringilla has this hot chick in my head and that actor, while matter of opinion is not exactly sexually attractive. I dont think't that happens until the last book, maybe they just cut it.

It's when you roll out of bed in the morning.
You know, you got the eye crust, your hair is a mess and you stumble into the bathroom to pee.

right?

Wokism probably was initially the eastern concept of being awaken (to reality) and thus someone who possess timeless wisdom.

Now it's a word used to disparage sjw type of people

There will be a time when hollywood will get sick of all the woke shit and realise it doesn't make money they will go 180% and start casting white people in everything black related.

When a movie comes out about the life of Michael Jordan and it will be starring some white guy and all the purple hair karens will lose their shit.
