If you'd read a book you would know the vast majority of abortions happen in the first trimester. Late term abortions are extremely rare and almost all of them happen when either the life of the mother is threatened or the fetus carries a mutation that is incompatible with life, like a future juggalo gene.

There's not a magic window of time you can say "it will always be safe at this point both for mother and child" when it comes to being pregnant.

You have to encompass the entire process otherwise you will need to write out a huge list of complications of varying degrees that in reality are at a doctors decision on treatment. This is why law and government have no place in this.

Again....doctors and patients should have the only say not some dumbass 3rd party and for damn sure not a government.

There are so many factors. Not only the circumstances of the mother or the fetus but also insurance and location which could influence viability.

Why is it so hard for most to discuss this without throwing slogans out. When a woman gets denied an alcohol purchase at 6:30am, is that the government controlling her body? When things are rare, they still occur. If you want to focus on how rare late term abortions are for non life threatening reasons, the fact is it still happens. But why focus on late term abortions? How often do you think women have abortions as a form of birth control period? It would be tremendously difficult to get any accurate information on the reasons why women abort their kids, for obvious reasons, but give it an honest think. To many people, the later along the pregnancy the abortion happens, it just makes it even worse. This doesn’t excuse all of the “oopsie doopsie” abortions that happen 10 or 12 weeks out.

This bill would have made it to where there is zero discussion at all on any level. They should have called it the End of Discussion Bill 2021. The Very Few Questions Asked Act. The Zero Compromises Act.
