Can't stand the cunt but f I was French I would have begrudgingly voted him

Looking forward to another 5 years of him trying to silence Euroscepticism and make the EU a country

About time those lazy French fucks work until 65 like the rest of us. Talk about being entitled.

Populism leprosis... Rural areas, always the same.
Thus it's logical macron get a lower score in 2022: French people simply wanted someone else, someone less "neo-liberal" maybe.

so the difference between supporting and not supporting her is more or less triggering WW3 or not

i have got some news, most people just want to be left alone

WW3 has a higher chance of happening by being soft on Russia. I agree that people want to be left alone but you can't bury your head in the sand either. Russia should GTFO out of Ukraine and leave them alone.

Are you trolling or serious? From what I can gather about your political leanings and worldview, Macron is pretty much the dream candidate for you:

A deeply neoliberal, centrist to center-right politician who is staunchly pro-globalization, favors a pro-active foreign policy, empowers technocrats and loves to fuck the poor.

Macron has a lot of good qualities like the ones you mentioned. Poor people bother me a lot and are incredibly frustrating to deal with. Having said that, European countries are fundamentally different than America because culture is SIGNIFICANTLY more important. There's also the aspect of pissing off the European left which is a huge plus and no one does that better than Le Pen.

Ultimately, we know so much more about the dangers of populism NOW compared to 2017. Being able to grow is an important quality in an individual.

But early 2017, when the last French presidential election took place, was right after Brexit and the election of Trump. If anything, the "wave" of right-wing populism looked more threatening back then than it does today, after the establishment won the 2020 vote in the U.S. and the Netherlands, in 2021 in Germany, beat back the populists in Italy, Spain and Austria, and so on. I guess someone like me pays more attention to these places than someone from across the pond. ;)

I see populism to be a greater threat now than 2017 because they seem to be advocating WORSE policies than before. I supported Brexit and identified with Geert Wilders party in the Netherlands.

Reminiscent of America's 2020 election on Fox when the numbers magically changed live for Biden.

Yep rural areas results come first, cities and populated area, later.
Nothing magical here. Nothing new.
