It's very easy to shoot them down if all the other countries let you, and nothing else is going on at the same time.
I come from before cellphones and GPS... I'm not worried if they all get shot down... which won't happen anyway. :)
No country has to just sit there blowing up satellites. Indeed all satellites could be wiped out without Russia destroying any of them. American satellites may be superior to Russian satellites, but America is going to target Russian satellites anyway. That alone would turn Earths orbits into a shooting gallery of scrap metal moving at 30,000+ KPH. I have many doubts about what may happen going forward, but there is no doubt at all that no satellites at all will survive an hour of WW3.
I also come from before cell phones and internet. I'd rather not return to that time permanently.
