I lost interest when it stopped being news and didn't have any larger impact on politics. Its not a case pushing any envelopes nor relevant to anyone in power nor does it have any new details or deliberations. I'd bet that in a year from now I'll be making a popcorn thread about the Smith Trial, or at least I would if it was streaming. I'm about as inclined to go marching around screaming about Benjamin Smith as I am about Michael Reinoehl or Noah Green or James Fields. If we're going to dredge up some case without topicality, I'd rather draw attention to one like the murder of Ochea Brown, who was killed by her boyfriend during the middle of the George Floyd riots and left for dead in the middle of the street. Same value of a human life, struggled to raise enough crowdfunding for a funeral while the Floyd family got millions.
