I go out to eat every day so I don't really eat "lunch meat." A substantial amount of the food supply out here is pretty fresh because Asians love decapitating chickens in front of children. Also, refrigerated != frozen.

We stock up on deer once a year ofc, I get free lunch meat, so hamburger is only thing we actually buy from a store or butcher.

I live in a town that is a good majority of Karen and Thai, I'd say 55%. We take many Myanmar people out from bad situations.
My neighbors hook me up with sun dried peppers and pork/chicken they cook in a hole in their yard.
