I'd love a politician that actually wanted to solve the immigration problem. It doesn't matter how closed the borders are until you crack down on the corporations hiring them. People like Trump and most of the GOP talk a big game about closing the border, but they don't do shit against the companies that hire them, meaning people will still illegally cross the border.

Wasn't their a record number of illegals deported out of companies in the US under Trump?
Like ICE showed up and took them out? I'm not a Trump guy, just noticed during his time there was a lot of people being taken out of the workspace that were illegal.

If the company wasn't punished that just proves my point. You will never stop the immigration by targeting poor brown people crossing the border for a better life. You will only stop it by punishing those who profit from it.

Unsure of any punishments or fines, I feel like there would be but I haven't done my research enough to say either way.

I'm not aware of any bill that's been pushed by either party in 20 years that's addressed that it's the companies hiring these people that creates the incentive.

The fact is that Republicans have zero interest in controlling the border. They are interested in being cruel to brown people. That's really the case. If they actually wanted to control the border they wouldn't push a border wall that everybody told them wouldn't be effective. But the wall was never meant to be effective. It was meant to be a monument to their xenophobia.

So you could do 50 things that pro corporations but if you take a hardline public stance on the border it makes you anti corporations.
