Gyms are gonna be breeding grounds for covid for a while. I just bought used gym equipment to work out at home.

My area has 10 cases out of 200k people plus I trust the vaccine also gym has good air ventilation

I did this for a while when the gym was shut down. Couldn't get proper weights though, had a bar and ended up going to the metal dump and finding heavy equipment brake rotors to use. Worked fine. My semi heated garage at minus 25 I had to put hockey tape on everything id grab so I wouldn't burn the skin in the cold.

The gym I am using here in NS while on vacation is actively checking, though. They will only check once and just add it to your member profile. It's not even Oct 4th yet when it goes into effect but they just want to update member profiles. Then when you scan in the lady at the comp can just see you're good to go.

I still dont like it though. Not because I am one of those people that thinks it infringes on rights but simply because I have worked wil so many small businesses owners who are already stretched and frankly more so now because all their staff is sitting collecting CERB money.

Its almost if the gov't washed their hands of it and said, look small businesses this is your problem deal with it.

My mother came out of retirement to work for $10 dollars an hour at the local farmers market because they cant hire staff anymore due to previous staff quitting and fraudulently claiming CERB money from the govt' and she feels bad and doesn't want to see them close. So many people sitting at home. Its a joke. So many fraudulent claims.

Its become highly apparent in areas that the 25% who dont want to be vaccinated are just people who don't want to be told to do something. Only a very small fraction of those people are actually people concerned about the impact on their body or have tin foil hats on. Its simply they don't want to be told what to do now. No problem going through school getting the 20 we received as kids through elementary, middle school and high school but as an adult they don't like it.

Another observation is how inconsistent the gov't is. The passport is for non-essential businesses, but you can pack shoulder to shoulder in any place of worship. Why, because the gov't cant infringe on religious rights. Its a bit of a joke and clearly they are scared of legal repercussions, but they have no problem shitting all over the small business owners running them into the ground.

Gyms & restaurants require vaccine & Mask at all times unless you are eating/actively working out

Although, most people in my gym just wear it on their way in and out. Putting it back on inbetween each set/drinking water is retarded. Plus the people working dont care nor enforce it
& I just walk in without showing my totally real vaccine card unless asked. Really just depends where you go

Canada is now moving to require a vaccine passport for all air and traintravel. Some exemptions will exist for those that cannot be due to medical reasons.

It's already in place in most provinces to get into non essential services.

Federal employees are also required by end of November. If you don't you're put on unpaid leave.

the gym I go to doesn't require vaccination, who is and who isn't is not known, no one is wearing masks. it's literally the same people every day I got (5-6 per week) in the usual interval I'm going.

They should hurry up with the vaccine passports
