Most voted against because they claim it to be unconstitutional. Which I am assuming the 1st ammendment came into play here. Pretty damn amazing to see the bill of rights flex around the senate.

I can't even fathom how people can be proud of being this totally clueless, but good for you Superman, and what a hilariously ironic name.

With personalized and often times painfully wrong news being mainlined into the veins of every America who wants it (look at people like ^superman for additional reference), politicians are forced now more than ever to pander to the idiotic whims of the masses, versus doing what's best for the country. As I said in my first post, there was never a chance of anything happening to Trump, since there aren't nearly enough honest Republicans.

This level of toxicity is new and I truly hope that eventually they'll remove this power from congress/house, since they've show themselves too incompetent to be trusted time and time again. The Supreme Court wouldn't be a bad idea, since them keeping their jobs isn't reliant on people like ^superman, again, someone who clearly can't think for themselves.

and of course, i pop into this thread, only to see you spewing such utter non-sense.

lmfao, you think you're so smart, but you want to remove the congressional body's ability to remove the executive president from office. lmfao.... look in the mirror pal

I believe that there are more capable and less self-serving bodies, like the Supreme Court, which I explicitly mentioned. I guess you had a knee-jerk reaction with only partial information, what a shocking thing for a Trump supporter. Kudos on breaking stereotypes.

I know that going against your countries best interest to be a self-serving a-hole is what your ilk love about Trump in the first place, but betraying your country for self-serving reasons is anti-american... I'm not sure why Republicans have such a hard time with basic reasoning.

How else would they have gotten Biden elected? lol

There was certainly a lot of twisted & hidden/ignored information..

(not a trump supporter before people make assumptions, just so much blind bias in general its ridiculous)

Right, like that laptop right? Or that he has dementia, right? Or that he's somehow a pedophile, right?

Biden is your typical piece of shit politician, he's not my 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 100th pick, but a monkey shitting in a hat would be less harmful as President than Trump, but you're one of those people who still believes the worst President in U.S. history was a genius who made America better.

That being said, 99% of the reasons I keep hearing about why he's bad from the Trump lover crowd (some of which mentioned above) are laughable at best.

The supreme court is, as you might guess from the name, a court. They make decisions on cases that involve a point of federal law, and they strike down rulings or presidential directives which violate the constitution.

They are not a political body, and have themselves ruled that they may not preside over political hearings such as whether or not a president should continue his role or be allowed to run for re-election. For them to do so would be an abomination and an invitation for the highest level judges in our country to sit in a kangaroo court.

What you’re proposing is not just ill-advised, it’s ridiculous. It’s like saying the supreme court should elect presidents rather than the public, it goes directly against what the court—and this country—is supposed to stand for.

I don’t know what you believe, but neither do I take kindly to being agreed with. Give me a few minutes and I will find ample ammunition for proving that our viewpoints are fundamentally incompatible.

Yes.... you obviously know my beliefs better than I do. I had even stated (in the post you quoted) I am not a trump supporter.. so I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion
It's a perfect example of how you'll ignore information to continue your preconceived notions.
But I doubt you'll understand that.

While I may even agree with SOME things I've seen you post, some appear to have a heavy bias at times.
I repeatedly see (and obviously not just you specifically) a continued acceptance of behavior from one side, but not the other.

I don't understand why everyone has the mindset "anyone who disagrees with my POVs is obviously wrong and ill informed". As if only you and your sources know the truth, and what is best.

Because what we've seen from congress in recent history is reasonable, correct? The representatives and senators on both sides of the aisle are making decisions based on what's best for the country, rather than what benefits them the most?

Saying it's the same as wanting to change how we elect our Presidents is arguably the dumbest thing uttered in this thread, but the electoral college is also broken as shit, and should be reworked as well.

I've seen your posts lol. You were an avid Trump supporter, and you've posted nonsense since before and after the orange morons loss.

I don't have the mindset that anyone who disagrees with me is wrong, I have a mindset that anyone still supporting former President Trump is wrong. We can have a fundamental difference on believes that makes you dislike Democrats and their nominees, but there is no longer any acceptable reason to still be in support of that fear mongering idiot, as you so clearly are.

There's also zero justification to believe his actions do not warrant political banishment, as you and apparently most of the subforum disagree with. I've said over and over that i completely understand how anyone could have been taken in by Trump four years ago, but after four years of constant fuck ups, abusing his station of power, and outright treason, people are still too dumb to realize they made a mistake electing a conman businessman who's failed at every venture except the one his daddy made for him.
