There's a lot to be said for the similarities between Trumpism and the atmosphere in Rwanda pre-genocide. Another four years is a spooky idea for sure... even without it idk if we've only delayed the inevitable tbh.

Thankfully our Government has the Senate and the House, Adi Amin did not. Trump for the most part was kept in check by the real adults in the room.

agree all civilizations face a turning point. but for the sake of donald trump i would fucking hope not. like i seriously cant believe that this is happening in america for a glorified tv host with a failed real estate career.

I disagree. It is decidedly more integrated than society at large. When your life depends on the people around you, it is utterly dangerous to surround yourself with people you cannot trust, and you cannot have that trust while being bigoted against your fellow shipmates/soldiers/airmen.
