CONVERSATION. for nearly 10 years except it was about gay people. Why dont you understand that the "issues" of homosexuality and transgenderism are materially different, and that similar arguments can therefore pack different amounts of punch on them?

I already gave you a prime example: there was never a convincing reason to assume that being raised by gay parents would harm development, while giving hormone blockers to kids still undergoing puberty carries obvious and undeniable risks for their development. Similarly, you still did not explain how demanding a third type of bathroom or being addressed by words like "zhe" and "xir" does not amount to demanding special treatment.

The issue of hormone therapy is a scientific one and one side says research and your side goes with dogma and says don't under any circumstances. Same as happened during the gay rights debate.

They arent demanding third bathrooms. Youre just not actually reading the arguments. Inb4 you dig up a fringe lefty because you cant argue with anything but the most extreme version

I became politically conscious during the early 00's. During the time of 9/11 and the assassinations of Pim Fortuyn and Theo van Gogh. I also grew up in a pretty rural town, so I started out as vehemently aitheist, anti-religion (islam in particular). Over time and as I got older went to University I mellowed out on those subjects and other subjects became more important to me.

At this point in time, the increasing wealth gap and climate change are my biggest long term concerns. I don't think I'll become more conservative regarding those issues.
