no they dont. the only "theory" that would fall apart is if placement was randomized. and even then the idea that some racist could tie a noose because they think its funny, without even planning for it to eventually be Bubba's garage stands.

we know NASCAR has a large racism issue, the idea that some racist pit crew might tie a garage pull rope into a noose is far from crazy.

and like i said, we'll likely never know what happened here. it could range from entirely accidental, to mild racism that had an unintended bad outcome, to more malicious racism. who knows?

Nooses aren't inherently racist, they've been around for thousands of years and tying a noose doesn't mean that person is racist or even had some underhanded racist intention. They only appear racist in this 2020 context in which everyone is hyper sensitive where everything is looked at through that lens.

The fact that this was there in 2019 just proves that there was no intent in targeting a half black guy, considering the odds of him landing in that garage are so small. Some crew guy was probably just fucking around bored and decided to tie one. Maybe he's racist? But to just assume he's racist because we are looking at everything through a hypersensitive racism lens is a reach.

looks like the usual privileged lefty suspects here are denying reality yet again. they actually want hate crimes to be happening to minorities. how absolutely reprehensible is this! and this is the same group of privileged lefties that immediately thinks of minority males when the term “thug” is used

e: to play devils advocate, how the hell did no one catch this, if the rope was altered? not like anyone is randomly allowed into secure garages that have security tapes rolling. and NASCAR takes 5 days to release the picture after agreeing with the FBI? Doesn’t add up

1. if you want to make a loop on a rope tying a knot takes 5 seconds, tying a noose takes far longer. i'm not sure if you've ever tied a noose, i have, it's not exactly an easy or intuitive thing. its a deliberate action. there are of course non racist motivations for tying a noose, i didnt say anything to the contrary. all i said was its possible that a racist intention is on the spectrum of unknowable outcomes. which it of course is.

2. do you know how people are placed in garages? is it random? i don't. im assuming you don't. but you're talking about odds as if you do.

It wouldn't surprise me if the guy who fashioned the garage door pull that way also has skull and crossbones tattoos and all other kind of weird shit. And he does that just because he thinks it looks cool.

so the guys 2 points are: (?)

1. people are looking for racism

2. the noose couldnt have fit over a head

then i guess tiny ovens with a swastika aren't offensive either, i mean afterall no jew could fit in a 6 inch tall oven.



wouldnt suprise me either. could just be an edgelord, a racist edgelord, a racist, or a complete accident. although i lean away from accident as nooses arent very easy to tie compared to a loop knot.

Considering a hand sized loop is a functional aspect of a garage pull down rope. Does NASCAR have photos of the rope from before that clearly show the knot?

I wouldn't compare that to a small swastika which has no function other than to express hatred.
