When Alex Jones and Milo were targeted, conservatives were furious that "conservative ideology" was being censored. I understand that this doesn't apply to this specific case but conservatives have let this shit fester and now the chickens are coming home to roost.

It seems that the NBC article was an example of card_sultan getting an internship as a journalist so it's really difficult to get the facts of the case. However, it's pretty clear that this isn't a blanket demonetization of the organizations as a whole. I've also read that Google does this to TONS of websites (including YouTube) and that they work with the organizations/content creators to get this right.

I'm definitely on the side of limiting the power of tech giants. They have more power than most governments which is pretty scary.

two loudmouth agent provocateurs with questionable at best backgrounds, boo-hoo. hardly the same thing as google saying 'the comment sections on your website are equivalent to the content your writers produce, so for that you are demonetized.'

yes websites should enforce their terms of use and yes, tech giants have monopoly-levels of power now.
and lol @card_sultan anology

If zero hedge or the federalist was calling the protestors the n word and that’s why they got their adv funding cut google should make that transparent. I spent some time trying to figure out why exactly this happened and just found some references to racism.

You can’t be this opaque if you’re an information keeper. For all we know they found a sentence or two with the word thug and took their platforms adv dollars for that.

More censorship. What was it this time? Views on tax cuts? Tariffs? Foreign policy?

Nope. A symbol that the Anti-Defamation League says was nearly identical to one used by the Nazis for political prisoners in concentration camps.

This is mainstream political discourse?

Murtaugh added, "We would note that Facebook still has an inverted red triangle emoji in use, which looks exactly the same, so it's curious that they would target only this ad."

lol wtf even is this shit. have to get a symboligist Davinci Code style these days to make political ads to avoid any shape the nazis, kkk, apartheid supporters, nambla, and the Dallas Cowboys ever used in their history.

People have gone after Trump on a lot of contrived manufactured outrage in the past but "a triangle" really takes the cake.
Here's some more sekret nazi imagery;
