https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid19/excess_deaths.htmThe CDC's excess death figures have been updated since the last one on april... 25th, iirc?
anyway, it says updated May 12th now, and they updated some of the imprecision in the model to display a
range instead of a number. The total excess deaths are estimated at 68,774 - 92,742. The number of
reported excess deaths prior to weighting has risen from ~12k on april 25th to 31k now, and the week of april 25th to may 1st is almost at the level of expected deaths in those reported alone, with an estimate of only ~80% reported, so its clearly going to be in the excess death range.

dark blue is number of reported deaths. Light blue is the estimated number of yet-to-be-reported deaths
