Problem is that New Hampshire state law requires it to hold the first primary in the nation. But yeah, lump together IO/NH/NV/SC with super tuesday and start the primary season on that date.

Or intentional, scare the public so they wont consider modern voting paradigms. Easier to fuck with paper voting systems. Tech BAD, paper GOOD.

then again unwarranted self-importance tends to afflict quite a few people that post on this forum. they probably get it from certain characters in the media who influence their opinions and actions

Yep. Iowa and New Hampshire aren't even representative of this country for multiple reasons. The first contest should be Super Tuesday, or some other diverse multi-state coalition right out of the gate. That would give parties a better idea of who the best candidate is and who can campaign well in multiple, diverse states.

Though, this system would likely give a larger benefit to candidates with larger name recognition and more money out of the gate, and allow for less "momentum" for underdogs.

Either way, Iowa should switch to a primary system.
