If death count is all that matters let's stop sending special forces all over the world to fight terrorists and extremists, they don't kill that many Americans.

The only thing that will stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun. There is no way for the government to confiscate every gun in this country without causing a Constitutional crisis.

want to have a serious discussion about gun control? ok, just answer these two questions, and admittedly subquestions.

1.) Democrats regularly call for "training classes" being required to buy a gun, so that owners are more responsible. What percent of Democratic gun owners do you think have taken Hunter's safety or a similar training class? Followup, answer the same for republicans. Lastly, answer for both parties when it comes to hands on training from family members, as opposed to going to a store and just buying a gun.

2.) What percent of violent gun crimes do you think are committed by Democrats, as compared to Republicans. What percent of violent crimes with illegally obtained guns are committed by democrats, versus republicans?

put the two together and you'll have a logical reason why the GOP doesnt want to have the talk. It's a discussion so that Democrats can take guns from everyone so they can stop the Democratic criminals who don't get training and overwhelmingly own the illegal firearms supply in this country. Meanwhile Republicans overwhelmingly take more training classes and own far less % of the illegal guns. Democrats can't police themselves, so they come after everyone, then blame the other side for not helping them police themselves.

If racism and misogyny are a right winged problem, that the right wing is responsible for changing, then gun issues are a left wing problem, and they're responsible for fixing it. so far they have no ideas on how to change their own stats without putting a chokehold on everyone.

Since the majority of gun crime is committed by the poor in ghettos, I'd say that socioeconomic reform would be the path to minimizing left-wing gun violence.

Also, as a triggered lefttard, I think I'm obligated to say "ER MAH GERD I BET THIS STUDY DOESN'T COUNT ALL THE INNOCENT BLACKS THE POLICE HAVE MURDERED RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWR". Is that how triggered people act?

I've been advocating for socioeconomic reform to combat gun violence for a decade, i 100% agree with ya bud. most people who are hardcore into gun control can't answer one single way to get guns off the street that are there and illegal, which by many studies account for a large number of violent crimes. It's true that 30+ years ago they were legally purchased guns, and that gun sale laws were FAR too lax which fueled the problem we see now. But people think that gun purchase requirements will somehow empty the trunk on every block in chicago full of sawed offs. If we can increase the economy in those places gun buyback programs will be more effective, and we can stop the cycle that we currently see.

sadly the stat can't include those murders, because it counts 4 or more people getting shot, not one person getting shot by 4 cops while holding a banana :)

I disagree. We need to flood the streets of Chicago with easily accessible guns. Good people need to clear out the bad people
