Shit, that sounds absolutely perfect.

I take a small portion of my capital back once a month and reinvest the rest back in, and have continued to be amazed by the compounding. I'm glad I got in and it's even better mining. Where I used to get maybe $80/month mining, the recent boom in Bitcoin has made it even more profitable to the tune of $200/month. I've bought a cord of wood, a new transmission for the girl's Subaru, and paid for a new vanity for the bathroom all with Bitcoin. If they take Visa, they take my Bitcoin.

Edit; just go to shiftpayments.com and order yourself a Shift card. Costs $10 and you can use your Bitcoin to buy it. Works exactly like a debit card. There's even a Bitcoin ATM here in the Vancouver mall (Vancouver, Washington state). The interest is insane but hey, it's one of the only two I know within 200 miles. Someone talked actual cash in hand? This is the way. But it's obviously going to cost a lot more than traditional options. But it's still a baby. How long did the dollar take to gain ground after people stopped trading coins and gold and bartering? It is 100% the future. Even if it's not Bitcoin it might be Litecoin, or Dash, or Ripple.

Firstly, congratulations on your early adoption. Good for you for not listening to all the ridiculous fear based emotionsl excuses to NOT invest a little bit, and overcoming the barriers to adoption that the crybabies in here build for themselves in their echo chamber of horrors.

Bitpay Visa
Shift Visa
TenX Visa
Monaco Visa (coming soon)
And many more options are currently being built and laying out the foundation for the infrastructure to bridge the gap between dirty germ ridden, disease spreading, fraud rampant, counterfiet ridden, fiat garbage into the future of exchange in a digital world.

You see gentlemen, bitcoin (being the first) has solved the "Byzantine General's Problem" and in doing so has created a new system of exchange in a trustless environment.

Here's a primer for those of you who still believe that bitcoin isn't the real deal or isn't here to stay, or doesn't have any inherent value...

If any of you still don't get it, or don't see its value, or refuse to adopt, then that's good.. Natural selection will breed you and your ilk out of the golden age that is set for us and we certainly don't need your ignorance any longer. In favt, I'm counting on the regulars here to ignore my sound advice, just as they always have bevause I couldn't imagine a more fitting end for these dinosaurs to become extinct 😉

It's definitely not "the future" in its current form. First movers always die and it takes three or four generations to work out issues.

Nobody still uses friendster or MySpace after all.

God I hope this shit crashes soon.

Decided to build a gaming computer and fuck are graphics cards expensive right now for no other reason than miners have majorly raised demand.

After this stuff crashes people are gonna be scrambling to sell their cards and the prices will drop like a rock.

The calculations for BTC have specifically optimized hardware (ASIC's) for the application now. Back in the day you could use your own pc because the difficulty was so low. A decent mining rig will cost you a couple thousand at least and it's very likely to not make you much money due to the differences in KWh prices around the globe. Chinese power is extremely cheap compared to the USA and even cheaper compared to most EU nations.

Some other crypto's do well with either high-end CPU's or GPU's, but not bitcoin.

People who bought ten for only the purpose of bitcoin mining.

Well, not specifically bitcoin mining. Also the alt-coin mining. Etherium specifically is only efficient on a GPU.

A lot of people started mining and bought multiple graphics cards specifically to start mining bitcoin. The increased demand for graphics cards to run the hashes drove up prices and drove down supply.
