united airlines stock increase due to popularity and examplary attitude following the book and law correctly.

the fact that people is law ignorant and the internet people is making such a big fuss about it due to their ignorance doesn't make united wrong, cause they're not.

when you buy you're ticket you agree to the terms of service together with following this law, and I'm God dam sure united or any other company has the right to remove any passenger for a number reasons from the plain before take off for security and health and safety purposes.

if the passenger refuses to take over the offer and refuse to leave the plane then united calls the authorities and it's not in United's hands what happens from there.

he broke his lip? then don't resist the authorities that are doing their job under the law.. I'm sure his lip was due to his resistance, no one would punch his head on purpose unless necessary, especially in this case.

I'm actually VERY surprised that he wasn't arrested and blacklisted, especially in the US, that would be the right thing to do.

Well, that was painful to read.

Dumbass doesn't realize the airline agreement actually has conditions under which you can lose your seat, that this wasnt an overbooking incident, and that passengers actually have rights and don't have to suck the airlines balls because they fucked up.

I always find analogies to be helpful. Let's say this was a hotel. You pay for a night's stay, but the hotel actually overbooked and is having a seminar there and they're short 4 rooms for their employees. Now, they could just pay for their employees to stay at another hotel and find an alternate way to the seminar, but instead they decide to knock on people's doors after they've already paid and checked-in, and ask people if they want to leave the hotel for $800. No one says yes, so the hotel calls their security team and forces 4 people out of their rooms.

Its actually wrose because they spelled out the conditions under which you may be removed in their carriage agreement, and they can't remove you once you are seated unless it is met.
