I think American Liberals certainly down play the threat of radical Islam. Conservatives are definitely hateful toward peaceful American Muslims, but it's almost as if Liberals defend Muslims more because Conservatives dislike them.

As an agnostic atheist, I see problems with religion in general. It clouds the mind. Given the right circumstances, Christians might be bombing and shooting up places more frequently, too. They already did the latter just recently.

So I often feel as if I'm all alone. I don't agree with how hateful Conservatives are toward Muslims, but I also don't agree with how much Liberals seemingly ignore there is a growing problem with Islam, at least globally.

would you agree that the emergence of isis is a direct consequence of american foreign policy? particularly the iraq war?

you will never eradicate muslim radicals while meddling in middle eastern affairs

I'd say you will never eradicate muslim radicals period.

Not interfering in the middle east would limit the ease they can recruit others who would normally not care about their cause however.

That means steping completely away from the entire region, no trying to stabalize it / bring democracy / modern western tolerant values is not what the powers that be in the middle east want.

No
The reason is the oil that exists in the Middle East.
America has an interest in having "stable democratic" countries to depend on trade with.

Scaley keeps saying this about Christianity and all religions, and I believe some guy named Hatler said something similar about juice before.
