Our world is getting worse but blaming congress is passing the buck

the problem lies in you, and me and every ignorant fuck who buys into the game

A system that's been broken for so long that it's the only game we know.

This party is this, and that party is that. But they both kneel at the feet of the same masters at the end of the day.

And those masters don't give a holy shit what happens to you or me, or any other "Joe".

The only thing we can do is consciously make the decision to take the power away from those masters.

The way to do that is through the ballot box.

Do you really think our vote matters? Thats nothing but a joke the only votes that matter are the people on the white house they make us think that our vote matters when really it doesnt... sad world we live in

Our world leaders have fucked us and will continue to do so

You want to see your vote count? start at the grass roots go to city council meetings vote for candidates that match your thinking

the same with circuit judges sheriff or other city leaders join the party you feel represents you or go independent. but then go county, and state etc

the small elections ultimately affect our everyday lives much more than the national ones do.

Like you said it seems to stay close to the same no matter what. So change what you can.

This is very true. I bet most people couldn't even name all the members on their city council.

Probably the most important. Once I have kids, I'll probably attend every district meeting.

That would get pretty tedious. My precinct caucus chairwoman is my school board rep, and I am comfortable with that.

Not really familiar with how it works in the states but here in Canada - in local politics we have a Town broken up into Wards and then elected alderman to represent that Ward at town council meetings. These meeting are broadcast on cable access and you wouldn't believe the dumb stuff people believe, some of it's really draw dropping stuff really. In bigger cities these guy work Full time, but most cities are under 100k population and these guys only work part time, most have a semi-successful business and life just enough to keep them out of touch.

Like i wouldn't be surprised if they ask you how to turn on a computer.
