I just read all of OP's responses and although I disagree with part of what he's saying, I feel like 85% of what he posted is absolutely correct.

I'd argue a lot of people have a huge sense of entitlement and have and idea of what they should or ought to be doing/earning/whatever and will not look for jobs as a means of subsistence, which might mean looking for a "shitty" job, but choose to sit around most of the time doing jack shit holding out for a "good" job, which they honestly may not even be qualified for. For my research I site my own experiences with friends and scrupulous facebook observation.

If we want to be real here, most Christians do not like gay people, maybe they don't "hate" them, but you're fooling yourself if you don't think they at least do not like them.

EDIT -- What's with the Che shirt hate? I think I've seen maybe one or two in the last few years and part of that has been living in fucking Southern California. Why do people always need to invent this antagonistic group of people to trash on?

I'd say Christians don't dislike gays any more than the average person dislikes them. It's usually the overly feminine gay male who gets the most hate... and let's be honest, no one likes that guy.

I hate on the Che shirt because I know it bothers you.

Well I'd say I have a tremendous penis, but unfortunately that doesn't make it true.

Let's be real, Christians by and large do not like gay people. Why can't you concede this? They're very lifestyle is offensive to Christian morality and Christians hate having foreign things like that around challenging what they've done for forever. It's the same as saying they don't like criminals, drug users, atheists/other religious extremists, etc.

The only argument possible is, "ugh, well, I'm Christian and I don't hate gays!"

Which, honestly, is probably also bullshit.

Ok after rereading your posts i see how you can see it as a relevant issue, i did jump the gun there. I wont let go that it was an obvious attempt to derail the conversation however, especially in the hindsight that the OP isnt even religious.

It was a comment I threw out without any real thought. It wasn't an 'obvious attempt to derail' anything. You did the derailing all by yourself.

If I was going to derail a thread don't you think I'd put a little more thought into it? Give me some credit ffs.

Just because its a weak attempt to derail the convo doesnt mean it wasnt an attempt. The same goes if you subconsciously did it. Yes ill admit i derailed the convo somewhat but i was really playing both sides by posting to the OP and you, because your concrete ideas about religious people bother me. ANyone who would take the time to make an entire thread attempting to damn all religion would bother me, and im not even hyper religious.

You are seriously obsessed mate. Take a step back. Maybe a break from your computer for a day or two and come back with a fresh head.
