Kurdistan is in the northeast of Iraq. It is a province. While most of the inhabitants of the rest of Iraq are arabs, most of the people in Kurdistan are Kurds. From my personal experiance, Iraq is dirty poor and dangerous. There is little education and a complete lack of the will to even clean up your own neighborhood. There is trash everywhere almost everywhere. Kurdistan on the other hand is clean and safe. The city of Arbil could pass for a city in America or Europe.

I am saddened by the fact that I believe once the USA leaves this place will be ruined and these people will be slaughtered. Seeing as how Turkey is currently fighting the Kurds to push them all out of Turhkey, they are going to be caught in between and have no where to go. All I can predict is that they will all be killed eventually. I would like to see them set up as their own country and granted assistance by the USA in order to save lives and preserve peace.
