It has been suggested on other forums. If you really want to get an idea for timewave zero or novelty theory, and read a topic dedicated to discussion rather than closed minded ignorance, then check this one out.

The past becomes the future in a fractal pattern that increases in novelty at certain times and condenses the past history into a zero point ultimately bringing about a point in time (2012) where the novelty becomes flat lined (infinite novelty perhaps?).
Also, this is another distinction between 2012 and y2k, based on what HERETICtheory already stated in his introductory post on timewave zero:
