Do you speak of the THEORY of evolution? Or some other fact or law that is accepted by all?

If you consider it a theory you have been brainwashed by scripture. There is more than enough evidence for it to be considered fact. It is only not accepted by all because people like you refuse to believe it.

Speaking of brainwashing...what were you taught exclusively in public school?

Excuse me? I was taught religion from kindergarten through to the year 9. I think it was around about the time I stopped believe in santa claus that I knew something was up. The things that the bible speaks of, they are not possible in this dimension.

/By religion, I mean scripture. I grew up in a protestant family (though I do not believe my parents were ever religious, they just thought it would be an easy way to teach morality)

I do believe that if you weren't so defensive regarding this subject we would be able to have a proper discussion. Please tell me one thing, do you deny that evolution is a reality?

I BELIEVE IN EVOLUTION. Your reading comprehension skills are obviously lacking, because I already stated on page 6 that I support evolution and a Big Bang-type scenario. I am not "defensive"...I am just annoyed by your immature stereotypes.

You giving me examples of wars in no way furthers your belief that religion is inherently evil. The affiliated peoples' religions did not CAUSE the war...the disputes between the two groups of people caused it.

PEOPLE start wars. Not religion. Not money. Not power. Not slavery. Not land. PEOPLE.

Oh ok so you are a creationist who believes in evolution? Makes sense.

And actually, giving you examples of wars shows that blind faith in the hands of an extremist is a powerful weapon.

Genesis:
Chapter 1.
This book tells of the creation of heaven and Earth, light and so forth.

My main arguments regarding this chapter of Genesis is that it implicates that Earth was created for the Human race, or in the very least that he molded the rest of the universe around the Earth, suggesting something special about our planet.
1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth”,
16 “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night”
17 “ And God set them in firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth”

The implications made by this are far too obvious for me to have to point out.

26 “And God said Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth”

Simply put, the bible states that this planet and the humans are special, that God made the sun and the moon to give the Earth light. This simply is not true, astrophysicists have determined that the Sun formed roughly 6 billion years prior to the formation of the Earth.
If our moon was truly created by god, in the intention to give us light, why is it that almost every planet we have observed has moons, yet no life? Surely if these planets do not have life on them there would be no reason for God to give them light during the night.

After reading this, refer to my original post. You can't believe what the bible says and believe in evolution at the same time, unless you are a moron and can't see how they contradict eachother.

Or unless you're capable of comprehending metaphor, ofc.

Not subtle enough to be metaphors.
