This argument has never swayed me. States would withhold tax payments to the feds. That knife cuts both ways.

I think that would really put the country into Civil War 2.0 territory. The federal government might well come to the conclusion that its easier to reroute the stream of immigrants through California, New Mexico or even Arizona, states with a Democratic governor, rather than continue this standoff with Texas. But states laying the ax on the funding of the federal government? That's where the fun and games end and things get really serious.

I think it's erroneous to assert the federal government is involved in controlling the river of migrants. It is probably fair to claim they encourage it with public policy, but on a more sinister level, I think the migration is funded and organized by the massive Russian intelligence apparatus in Mexico in an effort to destabilize the United States.

They're not outright controlling the stream, but they can surely drop hints about where the migrants and their smugglers can expect the path of least resistance.

I gotta disagree on the Russia bit. Illegal immigration has been an issue for decades, it has ebbed and flowed. That the numbers went drastically up as soon as Biden took office is neither a coincidence nor can it be explained by Russian black ops. Likewise, it were not Russian intelligence agents which rescinded Trump's Remain in Mexico policy, that's entirely on Biden and his admin.

This post is a violation of the site rules and appropriate action was taken.

I don’t know but it would be fun to take up arms against libturd commies who dream of their little revolution. Be gettin headshots like Halo

I would 100% trade them for migrants even if they’re illegal

Things have been getting rather sketchy between Texas and the US government. It is a common feeling among Texans that the federal government is facilitating an invasion at our border with Mexico.

Just this year there have been over 2,000,000 encounters with illegal immigrants. This number does not include those who have not interacted with BP. With the failure to enforce established federal laws and recent Supreme Court rulings essentially allowing the federal law enforcement agents to interfere with Texas national guard’s attempts to enforce our own laws regarding illegal immigration, fears are growing this may escalate to conflict between states and the United States government.

What are your predictions of where we end up?

literally no lmao. right wing schizos believe this to be true but this is absolutely not true for texas as a whole
