Even if we take these statements as representative of Democrats towards the race protest that occurred while Trump was president, I'm not sure how that justifies the defense of January 6th.

If the argument was "January 6th was a disgrace, the people who enabled it should never be elected again, AND the people who enabled the race riots should never be elected again", that would be consistent. But you are using these statements to justify people on the right doing the same exact thing.

Correction, far left radicals were released quickly after getting arrested during riots, look up how many officers were assaulted. The guy that used pepper spay on Jan 6th (assaulting an officer) got 14 years.
