Ron Paul doesn't oppose defending oneself, he opposes interventionism. But like all libertarians, we argue most amongst each other. I don't consider helping the Ukrainians defend themselves as interventionism. I consider our own troop use to be interventionism, which is to be opposed. Helping people who wish to be free of wanton ethnic cleansing, murder, and oppression? That's fair game.
