and somehow your take-away is that the bill has "very little to do with gas prices". those were your words, and they're specifically what i have disagreed with. the bill is remarkably short for congress, only like 1 page, and every single line is related to gas prices. top to bottom gas prices are featured in the bill.

the bill can foolishly seek to expand presidential power and still be related heavily to gas prices. u seem stuck on that point. this does give the president a new fancy power, and that power can only be used on gas prices. he cant freeze rents in a time of crises, he cant freeze student loans with this bill, he cant even stop price gauging on food or water. this bill only relates to gas prices, top to bottom. "very little" was hyperbolic and incorrect.
