Would you like to comment on ben gvir and Co's Gaza resettlement party? It was such a bad look that gallantz had to say publicly that this wasn't on the table and France and the US condemned the plan. Some leaders in the knesset are literal retards

This pretty much sums it up.
I couldn’t believe that this nutsack got into the gov to begin with and what really blows my mind is that he keeps doing his stupid sh*t and nobody is getting rid of him.

Ya it's crazy how much a couple of key members can destroy the reputation of Israel. Like just have the meeting behind closed doors? Don't throw a big party and show this to the world, it just looks bad.

Even my massive criticism of the idf stems from a top-down command structure, not the individual performance itself. The article linked below does a good job of highlighting the idfs frustration of having superior training/tactics but can't use these (especially the de mining equipment) because they turned the whole place into stalingrad. Bad leadership and the idf pays the price.

The word frustration is incorrect.
The IDF is facing type of warfare which no one in the world had to face before hence it developed its capabilities as the war continues.

The goals of the ceasefire are twofold imo: obviously getting hostages back but also showing the international community that Israel is willing to bargain, which would be a PR win if structured correctly.

You have not learned to fight hamas in the tunnels, this is a boldface lie. If you did this conflict would of been over in two weeks. This is because any army would struggle with the current situation regarding the tunnels, just look at what we tried to do in vietnam; spoiler, it didn't work out too well.

I remember pointing out awhile ago that the rockets being fired into Israel was terrible and it mostly targeted civilians. I highlight the attacks because it shows that Israel still can't stop the making of and firing of these rockets.

You know how I know we are destroying them?
Because I’v been there for almost a month, we know exactly how to deal with them in the tunnels.

But its okay you can keep run these stories in your head if its make you happy.

First they are not key members,
Second what looks bad is kidnapping 9 month old baby (now over a year old, if alive)

I know you mostly think I regurgitate hamas propaganda but I still disagree with you here. I've been following whatever info the idf releases about the tunnels (so very little) and just recently the idf Finally released the details surrounding Atlantis. Yes you have world class engineers and mapping technology and drones and ballistic gel blah blah blah. The most effective way is still pumping seawater into the tunnels from the Mediterranean. Only time will tell if the idf can destroy the tunnels faster than hamas can dig em

To be fair this is an area where no other nation has succeeded and Israel is learning on the fly.

You feed from the media I can tell you
The media dont know the half of that
We are destroying the tunnels in unbelievable pace.
And that is why Hamas is willing to talk to us we are on its neck.
If it was up to me I would go all the way without stopping

Well I mean obviously I feed from the media, I don't have the ability to get first hand information like you do. I would imagine that it would take the idf an incredible amount of time to Atlantis all the tunnels but it is doable I suppose.

Hamas would love nothing better than a ceasefire right now and bibi needs one aswell if he's gona take on hezbollah. Israel HAS to bargain in a position of strength in order to sell a ceasefire to its angry population. Hell I even agree with you here, Israel really has no choice but to continue in gaza because it's done a terrible job so far and it needs to regain its perception of invincibility with massive threat deterrence.

I think the #1 issue here is that a lot of people in the West view "Gaza" and "Hamas" as separate things. Hamas IS the governing body and military wing of Gaza. Duly elected, no less, and supported by the overwhelming majority of Gazans. They're so popular, in fact, that the Palestinian Authority over in the West Bank refuses to allow for an election, because a rep from Hamas would run and almost certainly win.

So, in October, Gaza INVADED Israel, killed over a thousand Israelis and took hundreds more prisoner, along with guests to the nation. Gaza did this while both sides were already under a ceasefire. To the population of Israel, not only was it an act of war and the previous ceasefire a trick, they have nowhere to run or fall back to if their government does not END Hamas. Any form of ceasefire, or even negotiation at this point will be seen not just as weakness, but as the government abdicating responsibility for the safety of it's people. I wouldn't want to be the leader of that nation, after being under nonstop threat for 70 years, when the people lose faith that their government and military are serious about protecting them from the jihadists. Sounds like a bad plan. And with the Iranians continuing to supply weapons to Hamas, and the realization that small, cheap, retail quality suicide drones are cheap, way more effective than rockets, and the Iron Dome doesn't shoot them down, Iran's positive relations with China may see active suicide drone warfare against Israel very soon.

I agree that collapsing tunnels and clearing them out is a shit solution. Drown the tunnels? That idea has some merit. In fact, it has so much merit that were I Hamas, I would be using the tunnels as bait, I'd already have connected them to the sea, and I'd do something major to bait Israel into dedicating the bulk of their forces to clearing them out, then I'd flood them with the Israelis trapped inside. But that's just me, and I have a nasty state of mind, when it comes to warfare and strategy. :)
