I don't believe most people were expecting a ceasefire, I believe that would be under the security councils purview, which the Americans can veto anyways.

I find it atleast a little suspicious that the US stops unrwa funding the same day that the courts demand aid into Gaza but I'm sure it's just a coincidence.

I've been saying that Israel has been committing a genocide since day1 and I was just sorta kinda proven right. I said that I wanted Israel to win the case due to legitimate security concerns; which it kinda did because no immediate ceasefire has to happen. Israel just has to be more careful moving forwards and the amalek/hamastanian/subhuman tiktok videos have to stop

Asking the public to stop cheering for their team is not a rational thing to do. It’s like calling Gazans to stop cheering at hamas’s rockets towards Israel or asking to punish every single Gazan that participated in those Oct 7 killing frenzy parties with the hostages.
Israel will probably meet the demands somewhere in the middle.
It will give legitimacy to other countries not to demand the ceasefire since the court itself didn’t demand it. It’ll put some pressure off.


Btw, I’m all for dismiss or even to put in prison our politicians saying those things (atomic bomb etc).

It's not so much the public as it is elected officials. I loosely followed the trail and what made the case so compelling was SA's ability to get a wide range of government/military personnels social media posts as evidence. Israel hasn't done the greatest job in avoiding civie casualties but it has legitimately taken steps to try and avoid them. If top level Israelis can stop saying stupid shit online, Israel should be fine.

I'll agree with you that Israel isn't committing a genocide but their plan was definitely trying to push them out into Egypt, hostages be damned.

Israel has the tremendous task of trying to not only convince people that it's not committing a genocide, while trying to take out hamas and "adhere to the rulings" but also close the Gaza chapter.

What's particularly galling is that the current South African government is the result of their own country's successful struggle against apartheid, so if anyone should know what apartheid is, it's them. Instead, they're cheapening the focal point of their own history to falsely accuse Israel of being an "apartheid state". As far as I know, blacks in apartheid era SA did not have citizenship, freedom of movement, voting rights, let alone seats on the highest court of the country - Arab Israelis have all of those.

This is really racist dude. Arabs are not a monolith and they don't all have the same rights in Israel or Palestine. Palestinians don't have citizenship, freedom of movement, voting rights, or seats anywhere in the Israeli government. They don't have control of their borders, no ability to set up a police force. Israel has full and total control over Palestine and aren't even trying to hide their goal of eradication at this point.

The ICJ specifically called out Israeli government officials just flat saying that there is no such thing as a citizen in Palestine Israel went out of their way to destroy the Palestinian water authorities ability to provide safe water. They have been intentionally destroying wells. They have been intentionally destroying every single hospital, not even claiming they all have Hamas infrastructure. Last I checked there was one hospital and it was the next target.

They literally claimed a child's bedroom was a Hamas base, and there was a copy of Mein Kampf, which was in English and in perfect condition. They aren't even trying to make their propaganda believable and you are STILL FALLING FOR IT.

This is genocidal. There hasn't been ambiguity for months now.
