The explanation from her spokesperson is strange. For months, a multitude of newspapers of record have been labelling Trump's post-election disinformation campaign with the term "the big lie".

I'm confused as to what you're confused about. Trump is trying to reframe "the big lie" as supporting his post-election disinformation campaign, and Liz Cheney is countering him.
