It's hard to get his family out of a war torn country when he couldn't even come into contact with them until he found out they were deceased.
Guy with smartphone has time to post a video on social media but he isn't smart enough to get a hold of his very successful family member that can save him and his family from death. Either the guy that filmed himself or someone else adds a sad tune to it, then it gets featured on aljazeera, a Qatari run news organization that is known for blatant pro sunni, anti- Iran, Russia, Shiite stances. Your friend then finds out about his families death from a news organization. Is this the story you want me to believe?

Keep acting like your wishlist is actually facts and that you've proven anything other than your own ignorance.
What should he have been doing other than making that video, then? When he's already someone who has been reporting out of the area, when there's nothing to be done to change things, what could he have been doing that was any better or would have changed a fucking thing?
If he didn't get an uber to a safer neighborhood then he's obviously lying
If i was a father my first instinct would be to get my family out of harms way 5 years ago. At least get my daughter and wife out before the gov't offensive. This guy doesn't seem in any hurry, if his family is in imminent danger don't you think he would be running his heart out to possibly attempt and save his family? Instead he gets on facebook?
