Oh, wait, sorry. You said "burning, looting, and murdering". I assumed you meant BLM. If you mean the 6th, how many people were "murdered" exactly? I suppose you could make an argument that an unarmed protester who was shot by capital police was "murdered". I'd probably disagree with you, but the case could be made. The police officer who died by apparently being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher, I can go there. Although it's odd, everything was filmed, and nobody can figure out who dunnit. It's really odd. At any rate, 2 violent deaths in a protest that included half a million people. As a result specifically of a few hundred bad actors at the Capitol Building, there was half a million worth in damage. Wooo! That's a hot minute for BLM. What was looted? Uh? I dunno? I guess like, a lecturn or something? None of the priceless art and such, so... Dunno.

Yeah, I'm gonna figure you're talking about the BLM riots.

Its kind of interesting that the FBI knew about the capital riot from media posts three weeks in advance but did nothing about it.

Police did nothing and it was right in front of them. What should the fbi have done? Prosecute thought crimes?

Tell the DC police that online psychos were planning violence... then create an adequate ground presence at the Capital.

What if North Korea or the Taliban knew that the DC police would be so fucking incompetent?

Apparently it's now the job of the FBI to police protests, not the actual police.

As I said on the 7th, the #1 failure here comes from Bowser, who refused to properly police the largest protest DC has seen since the George Floyd riots. Had she simply deployed all hands, like she did then, there would have been no capitol building storming, and outside of the storming of the capitol building, it was peaceful anyway, so it'd have been fine.

I simply don't understand her decision. You can't go "racism from a righty" or some such. She's a black female democrat. She chose not to properly secure the capital city of our nation during a protest that included half a million citizens. Why?

Edit: I'm going to go out of my way to say that the police did a great job in finding the Pipe Bombs planted outside the DNC and RNC HQs on the night of the 5th. And the FBI's investigation into the matter has done great things in removing all misinformation around "explosives at the capitol building" rhetoric.
