Why did the IDF get fucked up by a horde of barbarians?
Not sure they had motorized paragliders in the first millenia but that would have been pretty dope tbh.
It's funny how offended you are by hamas tactics which aren't nearly as disastrous as what your country and its allies inflict on large portions of the world. Props to whatever propaganda program the CIA enacted to convince westerners that dropping bombs is the noble way to fight a war.
They crossed a border in a raid with a thousand men against a few dozen defenders and slaughtered a thousand civilians.
I don't care about tactics insofar as war crime prohibitions protect both sides from atrocities. Atrocities like what Hamas did. And I don't see any nobility in war. Wars aren't won by hit squads of gender studies majors debating ethical theory, nor by jingoist zealots thumping their chests. Wars are won by advantage and circumstance and resources and execution. By cause and effect. Hamas are a bunch of ideological zealots with little regard for long term strategy and carried out a campaign of mass murder, rape and torture in a barbaric raid even though it would clearly provoke a reaction that would destroy Hamas and the goals they stand for. Israel is carrying out that destruction of Hamas and winning the war because they have an obviously lopsided advantage, one that was until october restrained only by those ethical quandries and that same supposed peace process atrophied since Rabin.
And when the war is eventually over, Hamas apologists will be using AI software to make graphic designs with silhouettes of paragliders, and Israel will have conquered Gaza and routed all Hamas and be left with its administration as an occupied territory, which is beyond my initial expectations for a DMZ
