So with Paul Ryan jumping the Trump Titanic, is this purely because the GOP is scared as hell to lose the Senate/House majority?
Does this also mean these members of the GOP have already given up on a Republican president this cycle?
Its a quiet exit. By not openly denouncing Trump he holds on to votes in states where seats for house/senate are looking shaky.
If by contrast he came out and denounced Trump openly he could be damning his candidates in their own states.
It's a gutless move but politically sound.
I think it's also a talking point moving forward for Ryan, he can say he held the party together to "hold onto X# of seats" while simultaneously saying "we sent a message to the Trump campaign that enough was enough."
The interesting thing will be to see if Trump lets Ryan go semi-quietly. Ryan might have just started a war, if Trump is thinking of running a breitbart-esque media empire post election he could actually make MORE money by tearing the GOP apart. And now Ryan has given him pretext to do so publicly.

the establishment GOP did not support Trump from the start
there's rumors that it was Paul Ryan's team who released the tapes
Id frankly be shocked if you went a whole day without saying something along the lines of "i have hear rumors" or "some people are saying".
come with a source elsewise why even post?
