People spouting this stuff aren't familiar with the process or are acting in bad faith. The certification of results always takes a long ass time and every single election, there are a handful of people in Congress who don't know if they won their election for several weeks. In addition, the media played it VERY safe by not calling elections when it was obvious who won. I don't blame the media for playing it safe though because a retraction is even more embarrassing than waiting for the obvious.

Every single question that you may have about our elections can easily be answered by looking on SOS websites, FAQs, etc. You can lead a horse to water but you can't force him to drink it.
