the international community doesnt want a "palestinian state" either. if that means no cooperative international control of the territory. israel, and just about anyone with an iq over 50, want someone to take over as a proxy state with security control by israel and the west with cooperation of the saudis.

Observer state =/= state.

i dont know why you're being difficult, unless you identify as someone with a sub 50 iq. no one wants palestine as a free state without HEAVY oversight. people differ on who that oversight should be done by, many people want israel many more dont, i personally dont but that's w/e.

but the idea of simply removing troops and handing over gaza to, hmmm checks notes hamas is in control of gaza, is something no one wants. even in net and yahoo's statement he says currently it wont be possible without israel involved in security, and i seriously doubt anyone else will step up to take over if israel doesnt, so it's moot. the saudis dont want to, iran shouldnt be allowed, egypt doesnt want to, the USA doesnt want to, etc.

do the math, its only addition and subtraction. post war gaza has to have oversight, no one want to do it presumably but israel. if someone else does they'll need to be an israeli ally for israel to allow it. that's gaza's path to statehood. likely 3-5 decades of being an occupied nation before they prove their elected govt can exist as a legitimate country.

but your whole image is really a farce. if 10-7 never happened, and israel just gave gaza to hamas, they wouldnt have been recognized as a UN nation. no one is going to admit a country run by a terrorist organization.

i patiently await your next image as a reply post.

you speak in platitudes but your original point is wrong, the international community overwhelmingly DOES recognize Palestine as a state

They'll always blame the Jews

They're just flat out antisemites, logic be damned.

no, it doesnt. an observer state isnt a state. any university will let you sit in and observe classes, they dont give you credit or a diploma for it.

They almost all support its implementation, and 139/193 are already technically recognizing it. And the recent war crimes, supported by US, will not help in going in any different direction.

And yet your essentially saying the October attacks of Hamas have improved the likelihood of an internationally recognised Palestinian state.

Why is Palestinian aggression rewarded and Israel reaction is derided?

For a lot of the Global South, supporting Palestine is a way to signal their anti-colonialist stance by proxy. And for Muslims, it's also about religion, history and symbolism. They do not want any non-Muslim entity to control one of the most important holy sites of their religion.

And last but not least, there is a strong split between common people and the ruling class in a lot of Arab countries. The Arab rulers absolutely do not want a Hamas-run yet sovereign terror state or the dissemination of revolutionary ideas in their hemisphere. But recognizing Israel and normalizing relations is very much a top-down project in countries like Egypt or Saudi Arabia, the populace is far more on the side of Hamas and far more rabid about opposing Israel. Therefore, the Arab rulers take any chance they get to feign support for the Palestinian cause to placate their people as long as its symbolic lip service which they don't actually have to follow through.
