Congress has given social media free range to do whatever they want without lawsuits
So is the argument that Twitter banning Trump for his behavior is going to bring Republican legislation that wouldn't have come otherwise, if they get in power?
I don't buy that argument. These people wanted ridiculous legislation before Trump got banned, and they are going to want it in the future. I'm looking forward to the "the president should be able to incite an insurrection on Twitter" arguments in the Congressional hearing though.
The whole point of the Republican party at this point in history is to own the libs(appeal to the voters) and provide relief to the uber rich(appeal to the donors). Trump's status on Twitter is kind of irrelevant. It's another talking point for them, but I don't think it moves the needle much either way.
