I don't see it that way. FBI had good reason to interview Flynn about his conversation with the Russian ambassador, and it's bizarre to think they expected him to lie. Why couldn't he tell the FBI the truth? It wasn't even that big of a deal to say he discussed sanctions with the ambassador.

This is the story of the Russia investigation. Campaign/transition officials lying to cover up politically embarrassing contacts. It made everything worse, and gave the impression that all of them were covering up something bigger.



The head shed of a presidential campaign should not be putting feelers out in order to receive stolen material.

I feel like the basic norms of conduct have been turned upside down because cultists are desperate to minimize whatever the Trump people did. We all know you guys wouldn't minimize it if it was Obama or Hillary. I don't know how you reconcile the inconsistency in your head.

Not sure how you reconcile Mueller being an overly aggressive prosecutor and him not even issuing a subpoena to the president's son, who took the meeting with Russians in an attempt to receive dirt on Hillary.

If Hillary was elected, and Chelsea Clinton were in the same circumstances and not interviewed, Trump supporters would call this investigation entirely illegitimate and corrupt. Mueller was extremely cautious in the investigative steps he took... probably too cautious.

If those emails were Trump's emails and Hillary was trying to get them after them being offered to her, she would be hailed as a hero.

The part I don't understand is why trying to get incriminating emails that were already leaked, is a bad thing. It's almost like Trump was... looking out for the old USA.
