Yeah, but it is mostly restricted to clubs on campuses and Tumblr. They aren't shutting down the Klan rally all over the USA though. The Authoritarian Right is the strongest it has been since Nixon and controls most branches of government, not just Tumblr lol. John Bolton is back in government, the neocons are back in full swing, and their political rivals are neocons too, just a bit smarter and better at managing national affairs rather than pandering to moral culture warriors and evangelicals.

Yeah there are some loud people that white male twenty somethings who use technology think are a serious problem, but they don't represent any group being represented in American discourse. Libertarians, social democrats, socialists, don't exist in any meaningful way in American political discourse either but are also very meaningful to the twentysomething mostly Caucasian male users of technology.

As long as there is the anti-democratic bias inherent in capitalism present we will never get leadership interested in or representative of the people, and we will continue to have leaders representing and interested in managing the affairs of the bourgeoisie, solving problems and tending to crises with their rulers' interest as their first and foremost concern.

I would like a coalition of libertarian-socialists to rise and challenge the Washington consensus. Just a group of people who agree we should be able to do what we want but also have a safety net and minimum quality of living available. There is just so much religious thinking in America....so many people do it without even realizing it. It is pervasive.

I find the narrative that the GOP's stance on abortion is all about controlling a woman's body to be one of the most idiotic things in modern politics. The GOP has never cared what a woman does to her own body in any situation that doesn't involve others. there's abortion, the ending of a life, and there's paid for by the govt birth control that some people put up a fuss over. but that's really it.

you think they care if some woman does something to her own body when there's not a human in it? of course not. unless you have a stack of examples of the GOP caring about adult non-pregnant women's actions that i cant think of.

To secularist it is about regulating sex and tradition values of natural law, to the fantastical thinking it is about preventing the murder of a soul.

I'm sure there are other reasons. Ickyness being one.

the conservatives just hold that sleeping with a lot of men is undesirable, then women get mad and say this is just another attempt to control women. it's not, people dont like STDs or a partner everyone has had. that's not controlling anything, fuck whomever u want, just dont tell me i have to be attracted to you afterwards.

conservatives dont want to pay for birth control, especially for minors. seems pretty reasonable from all sides tbh, if u want to fuck buy a condom or pay 30$ a month for generic BC. or have babies, that's cool too.

the narrative that the GOP wants to control women's reproductive cycle or sexuality is just a big lie the hippies were particularly effective at spreading. 99% of what conservatives do is judge, but allow others to sink their own ships. the only "control" comes in murder of a human being. i'm pro choice, but i also dont need a chaser of bullshit labelled some buzzword combination of "reproductive health" or some such to get the shot down. its murder, own it, fuck the optics. it's not cool to do, but it's acceptable in some circumstances.

and that said i'd pull the trigger on every woman who's had 10+ abortions if i could. those people don't deserve their own life.

I don't think a rapidly folding clump of cells with no sentience is a human being and the conservative argument that it is murder is contingent on the equivocation of human tissue with a human being.



GOP doesn't want wages going up because they are not interested in American families. Tax cuts barely benefit the middle class and do not help the working class at all. They need things like available health insurance.
