In a truly free market there would be no regulation and they would be able to get away with much more.
Luckily most people know a free market is horrifying so its prevented and politicians have to make do with loopholes.

In a truly free market, they wouldn't be able to tax you, and therefore government officials using their monopoly on force to steal your income to provide to a different government and then get a portion of it back after office wouldn't be possible.

No. It's not even crony capitalism. It's one government stealing the money of it's citizens, transferring it to a different government, and when the officials of the first government get out of office, they get a portion of the money they paid back. That's how authoritarians, socialists, and fascists launder money. There's no capitalism whatsoever. It's simply authoritarian gain off taxed wealth. Nothing more, nothing less. You don't even know what capitalism IS. Government officials are not "Private owners". The fact that the government is stealing from private owners, laundering through other governments, then taking back for themselves is FASCISM.
