Fucking disease claimed a friend yesterday. He'd been in the hospital for the last 33 days. Barely 40, left behind a wife and 2 school-aged children. Just Monday, the doctors said they were no longer treating him for covid and were just treating the MRSA and bacterial infections he had acquired over his hospital stay when he experienced cerebral hemorrhaging. Fuck covid.

I agree. Fuck covid. Pro-spitters will have you believe that this can't happen to someone that age, or that this is not a covid death because of the MRSA. It does and it is. I'm sorry for your loss :(

Damn never seen Bazi get brutal

Lmao

So much effort though, 10/10. I wouldn't even bother trying to educate someone that can't read

is there a reason for you to be so hostile at me for asking a perfectly normal question? do yourself a favour and stop being so mad. think of your own health, buddy.

It wasn't a "perfectly normal question," it was laced with enough snark to drown a fish.

A bunch of my friends have it now. I had a patient pass recently, and i know its not the same thing as having a friend pass, but I've never lost one of my behavioral health seniors before, and i fought hard against a decision that led to someone dying, because providers know everything, plus refusal to do more than a rapid test in the moment (60% chance to be truthful isn't good enough for me....throw em out and just scrape the skull). I'm taking a new job somewhere else outside of the hospital. I don't trust my leadership anymore. Before I am able to leave we are opening a covid+ psych unit. Hospitals will sacrifice anyone and anything for money. #capitalism

I would imagine when you put so much effort into the wellbeing of a patient and your efforts end up being completely for naught, it hits you square in the feels. You have my sympathy all the same.

that's just your interpretation. you made yourself mad. i don't wish anyone to die of this shit, not even the assholes that downplayed the pandemic, didn't wear masks, and didn't socially distance.

i genuinely think it was an appropriate question to someone so outspoken about their conviction that vitamin d is such a crucial factor, to a degree even that it justifies a plot to kidnap and murder a governor for her 'grievous wrongs' of shutting down crowded places when she could have just ordered some supplements for everyone.

so, do you know if he took any additional vitamin d, or was he also a 'science denier'?

Guy on a painting crew was 24 no health conditions spent 5 weeks on/off oxygen, then intubation..
Pulled off life support and died yesterday.
wife and 2 kids.
That's literally 6 people I know personally, and only one had underlying conditions.

Obviously, I'm not the only one who took it that way.

No idea, but he was vociferously in support of mask wearing, he was a pharmacist.

why would it make news this is a daily occurrence

Just because u got a 99% of being fine, there will absolutely be people who are “low risk” that end up with awful outcomes

, I’m sorry for your loss. Shitty
