The Trump2020 campaign spent the final days of the race talking nonstop about Hunter Biden and trying to smear his father by association. When this was the closing argument they settled on, I knew right then that Trump was gonna lose.
That so many conservatives still keep harping on about Hunter shows that they still don't understand why this pitch didn't stick - the problem was not so much that the pivotal swing voters doubted the veracity of the Hunter Biden email/laptop story, but rather that they didn't deem it relevant enough to overcome the strong feelings they had, one way or the other, about Trump. And generally speaking, Trump was of course sitting in the glass house when it came to shady business dealings, so he couldn't hammer Biden for it with any kind of authority.
They don't seem to understand that the kids of politicians only matters if they're directly involved in the administration.
Trump's nepotism and involvement with his kids mattered because they were a major part of his administration. Hunter doesn't go within 10 feet of Biden's administration.

biden did abuse his office, quid pro quo $1B to fire a prosecutor in ukraine. he’s on video tape bragging about it.
trump and republicans for whatever reason went stupid mode in their approach dragging in the druggie deadbeat son of brandon
and Trump tried to get a quid pro quo with Ukraine to get dirt on Biden.
At best it's a wash. You won't make a meaningful argument against Biden by using anything to do with Hunter and Ukraine because Trump did it worse. So it would be far better to just ignore it and focus on another lane of attack.
