I have to give Biden credit, he literally slept through the collapse of Afghanistan, but he's wide awake for the collapse of Ukraine. This time instead of total silence out of the white house, we have "more sanctions" and "rallying international condemnation"

Haha, well, the difference is, Biden could not use the Afghanistan crisis in some way to hurt Russia's economy.
Ukraine on the other hand was a crisis deliberately manufactured with the precise intention to inflict sanctions on Russia. So naturally they were paying attention.
I can only begin to imagine the dumbfounded and horrified looks on the faces of Washington DC's politicians right now.

From what I can tell, the only reports so far are off overwhelming Russian invasion now joined by Belarusian enveloping on a second front, including both special forces dropping into kiev and all the airstrikes. I haven't seen any reports of the ukrainian military doing anything
Lol, the Ukrainian army isn't doing squat dude. Their best fighting units were the far-right volunteer battalions, and to my knowledge they have already been wiped out by air and missile strikes.
The rest of the Ukrainian army are underpaid and drafted conscripts that have questionable allegiance to anything other than their own lives. They are extremely demoralized and highly unlikely to put up much of a fight at this point.
Their navy and airforce have already been completely eliminated - Ukraine will not be able to get anything into the air, period.
Their top political leadership already fled the country or are hiding in the furthest parts of Western Ukraine they can possibly be in.
Meanwhile, any high-ranking Ukrainian army generals, staff, or any others involved in ordering the shelling of Donbass territory, are either already dead or are being taken into custody by RU special forces teams as we speak - they will all be arrested and tried for crimes against humanity for what they did to Donbass.
Armed resistance from Ukraine is completely non-existent and anybody who even thinks about it is toast. The average Ukrainian soldier was abandoned days earlies when all the oligarchs & politicians fled and they know it. They will not have the will to fight a vastly superior enemy while faced with crippling demoralization and dessertion.
It's over. The war was over before it even started. The moment Russia got their first missile in the air, it was over.
