You want me to put hard numbers on it? Gee, I really can't. But I can give you something from real life as an example. My high school acquaintance, S, was a really smart person. In fact, she was an engineer. She went to the US for her career, leaving Canada and all this socialized healthcare behind, because with her high-paying job in the States, she could afford to not have a social net like that. Whereas compared to me, who stayed behind, mainly because I do not have similar career prospects as S, and I also cannot move to any place that does not offer socialized healthcare. If I moved to the States, I would literally not be able to afford getting sick.
Oh ok I understood.
I am at a worst place. Housing is ridiculously high, cant really afford even with my pay, just renting now.
