I have more purchasing power after one year of Biden than I did from the first 3 years of Trump (blaming the economic collapse on Trump due to COVID would be unfair). As far as I'm concerned, life has been absolutely amazing and I'm really trying to understand all the complaints. If you don't have the skills/desire to succeed in the current economic environment, it sounds like a YOU problem. Quit feeling sorry for yourself and take some initiative.

You may, most of the rest of the country doesn’t. politicians like biden have always pretended to care about the working and middle class.

No one cares about the working class nor should they. I took my kid to the grocery store yesterday and I saw how slowly the cashiers, baggers, and Instacart people were working and was floored. When I worked at Office Depot (my first job), I busted my ass to ensure that people bought shit that they didn't need. Where is the drive? Where is the hustling mentality? Back then I was making $7.25 an hour and now these lazy fucks want to make like $20 per hour. It's ridiculous!

As for the middle class, the important thing is that we invest in education and both parties have obviously failed us there. You need to do everything you can to supplement your child's learning because the government isn't going to help you.

If every single child went go to college, then everyone would eventually have a well-paying job and poverty would no longer exist!!!1

ok i worked hard as a busboy and dish washer as my first job in high school. everyones dishes were super clean and their appetizers got to them stat. so what lol. im glad i dont have to do that anymore and im sure youre happy you don’t have to upsell staplers. the working class is broke, burned out and despondent. i know youre trolling but they really are screwed

agreed on both parties failing in making our education system robust.

i mean i dont mind tbh

the more people go to college to study total bullshit, the better the future will be for people with actual skills

the starbucks barista with 100k student loan debt for a useless degree serving coffee to craftsmen, truck drivers and IT specialists making 100k+$ in their late 20s, thats the future we need ^_^

especially men: do not go to college unless its to become a doctor, lawyer or engineer

learn a trade, make good money

It's a matter of values and I think you have those values if you busted your ass in order to progress in your career. For the people who are stuck, there's very little we can do to help them. They simply don't have the ability to succeed and we shouldn't hold everyone else back to help them. I support grants, training programs, etc. to help the few who were unlucky but some people don't want to help themselves. These are the people who belong in Europe.

Who is advocating for that? Most people don't need to go to college and our secondary education system should be sufficient for almost ANY job in the country. I just want a society where your average person from junior high school is smarter than TiStuff, chopsticks, etc. You seem to want a society where people like them are catered to because it helps you politically.

My point is that the average person from junior high school is smarter than TiStuff, chopstickz etc. and working... maybe not as hard as they possibly could, but still a lot harder than you give them credit for - yet they still struggle to make ends meet. The plight of the working-class and the erosion of the lower middle class are not inevitabilities, they are systemic and caused by specific policy decisions made decades ago. Things don't need to be this way. It would normally be the job of left-wing parties to address these issues, but nowadays, they're more busy coming up with new genders, new reasons to create useless, unproductive government jobs or new ways to import even more people from the third world.

In places as rich as the United States or Europe, people who are working hard should be able to live their life with dignity and without pressing concerns about meeting their imminent material needs.
