3. Again, he dropped a billion towards the vaccine. That's not a reason to trust the vaccine. Seeing him willing to benefit from his investment? That'd engender some trust.
4. I'm not negative towards Bill Gates. I admire his cutthroat business sense. I distrust his globalist initiative, but from a pure business standpoint, he's a fucking genius.

most would go "rich man bad" take vaccine from palace, while poor nurse struggles and get sick with kids.
I really don't have a problem with him publicly taking it, I am fully aware he lives a life I don't know if we even understand.
that double standard would be small peanuts. Not everyone would see it that way.

He invested a Billion into the vaccine. He's like 70 years old. Not one red blooded American would criticize him for taking the vaccine first, especially given how vocal he's been on the need for everyone to get vaccinated.

I think to a point you lack faith in American intelligence. We aren't near as stupid as you believe. We all want to succeed. We aren't going to hate on a person who is successful for no reason. And most especially, we aren't going to hate on a guy who's basically paid for a million doses of the vaccine getting one for himself.

If this new variant really has, say, a 0.5 points higher R-factor, then mitigation measures like medium-strict lockdowns which previously brought the R-value to 0.75 would now leave it at 1.25 instead, i.e. still very rapid exponential growth.




In retrospect, the sudden increase in cases in Germany after weeks of plateau could have been caused by this variant. Dito for the spike in Denmark, Sweden, potentially also the ones in other countries.
