Oh God, now you bring up Georgia. Straight out of the "hate Russia at all costs regardless of facts" - playbook.

Jesus Christ, how many times do I have to say it - in 2008, much like Ukraine right now, Georgia opened up fire on Russian peacekeepers first and killed dozens of people and just like fascist Ukraine, began an indiscriminate bombardment and slaughter of civilians before Russia reacted militarily.

The same thing played out in Ukraine now, only over a much longer time-scale. Ukrainian fascist dirtbags spent the last 8 fucking years shelling and killing and slaughtering and threatening civilians, many of whom culturally identify as Russians before Russia reacted militarily.

Anyway, it's a waste of breath to argue with Zone A propagandized morons that would literally blame Russia if it rained tomorrow, and are determined to always blame Russia as the evil aggressor, no matter how many innocent people these illegitimate regimes like Ukraine massacre before Russia finally gets pissed off to react.

Yea, you're a paid stooge. Just more Russia denies. Russia can never be the aggressor and has never been in its history despite expanding since Moskovia. Its always poor russia, always a victim, never the antagonist. I wonder how it got so big, taking land in perpetual defensive wars to become the largest country on the planet? Take a look at the map in 1444-1800.

More garbage about how a small country like Georgia is the aggressor as Russia continues to move the border.

Back when Ivan was in better spirits. You can easily make parallels between thread and this one and infer who the main source of their psychosis is. Let's see how long he can keep this thread alive after being proven wrong.

Confused why ukranians are walking the streets and look to be following traffic lights. Media making it sound like all out war is breakin out

This may come as a surprise to you, but when it comes to war, unless it's an all-out bloodbath, the only things that are targeted are military targets like ammo dumps, airfields, navy bases, troop concentrations, command posts, and military HQ's.

Actually, if civilian infrastructure is not targeted in the rest of Ukraine, power isn't lost, utilities not damaged, etc, then life could actually go on semi-normally for the average Ukrainian person.

oh what they’re gonna sanction some displaced zones in new Russian territory now. people who have nothing now are not allowed to sell crypto for fiat or some bullshit like that

“sanctions”

The only meaningful sanctions they could put in place are sanctions targeting the oil and gas sectors, instead of muh specific individuals who don't live in the west or muh donutsk and lutefiskst
And if he did, Americans would pay $8 / gallon at the pump

I have to give Biden credit, he literally slept through the collapse of Afghanistan, but he's wide awake for the collapse of Ukraine. This time instead of total silence out of the white house, we have "more sanctions" and "rallying international condemnation"
Thoughts and prayers

In fairness, not sure anyone could expect a country to give up in 24 hours like that. Its not exactly a small country.

Oh no, Russia was so bad 500 years ago. Jesus christ man, it was 500 years ago. Let it go.

Times have changed, and all empires from back then were not any better.

Putin is standing up for Russian-speaking civilians in Donbass because he got tired of watching them being bombed and shot and killed. The internal pressure on him to launch this operation was huge. People in Russia are fucking tired of watching people die who they see as brothers at the hands of an aggressive regime that has been shelling civilians for 8 fucking years, for God's sake.

Ukraine's army acted no better than straight-up ISIS or Al-Qaeda did in Syria when it came to deliberately targeting civilians.

has anyone seen any actual reports of Ukrainians fighting back to any relevant degree?
From what I can tell, the only reports so far are off overwhelming Russian invasion now joined by Belarusian enveloping on a second front, including both special forces dropping into kiev and all the airstrikes. I haven't seen any reports of the ukrainian military doing anything
