Well, it's typical 3rd grade argument mentality. Accuse the president of something he didn't do, KNOWING he would fight back... THEN call the fighting back... obstruction.

The simplest way to catch someone breaking a law is to force them to break it and be ready with mics and cameras.

/e Yet the whole time... Trump fought back without obstructing.

criminals are stupid and coverups almost always fall apart pathetically. Its like I was saying about Ilhan Omar in the other thread, there's mountains of evidence that show her clumsy attempt to coverup her marriage to her brother despite literally thousands of pictures and documents proving it. Its actually a lot harder for someone to pull off a Beria-esque forged crime because you have to twist legal pretexts to the breaking point or stage entrapment that can be poked away at. Look at the Julian Assange case- they had to charge him under a terrorism statute of limitations extension that's only supposed to apply to shit like anthrax attacks or kidnapping and beheading the supreme court, and even under their flimsy pretext it still doesn't work because- and this is nice and juicy ironic- the very small legal precedents cited by the Mueller report on the presumed intentional acts of congress (loughlin v united states) show that the lack of conspiracy clause in that statue makes it inapplicable.
but I don't even remember what page of this report they cited loughlin so don't ask. Maybe the searchable version could ctrl+f it

Ya know what's amusing to me? The Dems think the easiest way to win in 2020 is to impeach Trump. They're probably right.
However, they are beating this dead horse so much that it's gonna back fire on them. Not only don't they have the goods to impeach Trump with... just "not letting go" is gonna make them look like idiots, which will cause them to lose in 2020.

pretty much comes down to the economy at the time but it's Trump's to lose and he certainly is the type of guy that can be up 40 points in the game at 3rd quarter and lose at the end

dems are all over the place

yang is the only dude that would really shake anything up if people are actually looking for not only change but a fairly productive approach not the chaoticness that many dems and trump are rolling with

tulsi and pete are reasonable people and would be fine presidents but reasonable people aren't selling well right now unfortunately

bernie is losing steam and would have been an alright (more pragmatic than his supporters would want) president

hopefully the people yang gang meme that sunavagun right into office, bout the only thing to look forward to in my view

yang/tulsi or yang/pete

okay guys
I nearly fell asleep about a dozen times, but I unironically read through all 448 pages, appendixes and all, trump's "my best recollection" written replies and whatnot

No you didn't. Just like most other people you are splicing in comments and thoughts you have taken from other people around the internet.

You really do have some of the dumbest political takes. Dems don't think that, and if they did, they would be wrong.

when an investigation comes to the conclusion that there were no underlying crimes, and then spends 75-90% of its time probing whether the investigation was compromised by someone making a political spinjob false statement or saying that "paul manafort has a wonderful family", its a legitimate question whether this special counsel was a farce.

I think everybody here is surprised at this hot take.

Well yeah, but that's easy level.

Think of a chess game. Force your opponent to move himself into jeopardy. That's how it looks to me.
The accusers get the added benefit, that the accused are now too busy to accuse the accusers of deeds the accusers DID commit.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I said.
