moderate voices in both israel and palestine coming to the table and negotiating a path to a free and independent palestine.

last time that happened, jewish hardliners (netanyahu and his likud party) opposed that process, and a jewish ultra-nationalist eventually assassinated the moderate israeli prime minister, preventing a meaningful peace process.

of course that won't happen under a netanyahu government ever, or under any israeli government for that matter directly after a horrific terror attack like the recent one, but it's the only way that will bring lasting peace - except an outright genocide of either party (something only israel has the means to do).

I know people in PaRD give you a lot of shit, but are there people who read this post here and disagree???

This seems like a very fair take.

The problem with this take is there are no moderate people on the other side.

They don't exist. NONE of them are moderate & want peace. Hamas is the duly elected & supported government of Gaza. They openly state they do not want peace.

And Israel is slightly better. There were some moderates there but they got assassinated.

Most moderate people here agree with the take, you have to ignore a lot of the noise here

Contrary to a lot of this spam, everyone wants the heads of Hamas. What’s under debate is how to do it

How do you reconcile the idea that "Hamas is the duly elected & supported government of Gaza" with the fact that there hasn't been an election held since 2006?

Laughably incorrect

Goom gave a decent breakdown of the sequence. China stepped in trying to build a bridge between the two, which is happening, with Yemen war being stopped as the first step. To think this has nothing to do with Iran backed Hamas or Israel is naive.

I've always thought law was interesting--never interesting enough to pursue with any level of earnest though.
